Angry Philippine Gov. Wants To "Review The VFA Treaty"!
((Feb 23 09)) The United States Monday cautioned the Philippines against reviewing their defense treaty, in a row over a US Marine's appeal against a 40-year jail sentence for allegedly raping a Philipina.
US envoy Kristie Kenney said of the P.I. gov., was "premature to talk about reviewing" the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) while the case of Lance Corporal Daniel Smith was being scrutinized.
Smith was convicted in 2006 of raping the Philipina after he took part in war games in the Philippines. ((Kangaroo court, kangaroo court))
He was initially sent to a local jail to start his 40-year sentence, but was later transferred to a facility inside the US embassy in Manila when the case went on appeal, triggering public outrage. The appeal has yet to be heard.
The US embassy has ignored an order by the Philippines' Supreme Court ordering Smith to be returned to Philippine custody. ((The treaty says that no American would be turned over to a corrupt Philippine court! The brown motherf#$kers singed it and now want to break it because the dwarf is embarrassed by Obama and Hillary.))

A number of Philippine senators have called for the VFA to be reviewed or revoked altogether.
"I think we should take guidance," Kenney told reporters Monday, stressing that Washington took all its treaties "very seriously."
"We don't sign them lightly. We pay attention to them and we do our best to comply. So we do take any thought of review very seriously," she said. ((The U.S. ambassadors' meaning is, you M.F.s signed the treaty, now keep your promise and abide by what you signed.))
The VFA Treaty outlines the rules governing conduct of U.S. troops participating in joint military exercises in the P.I. and states that if crimes are committed that the United States will try their personnel. This was placed in the VFA Treaty due to the injustice that is so damned common over in the P.I. judicial system. Yet the P.I. governmental racism and usages of a hate-filled news media forced the U.S. to allow Corporal smith to be tried in a Philippine kangaroo court!
The treaty's ratification in 1999 provided the legal cover for the resumption of large-scale joint military exercises between the two allies.
During these few days of wanting to "Review" what they signed, the "Philipino salute" of outstretched hand with palm up was being answered with the Seventh Fleet flag ship, USS Blue Ridge, off loading free gifts from the American people! The whole case was a shame and a set up. It was all about extorting money, and when none could be gotten then they started making up laws like you can't have sex with a women if she has had alcohol.
