What started the world-wide economic mess?
The housing market and banking markets went kaput! Why?
People defaulted on their housing loans! Why?

They were loaned the money because the government was backing the loans! The loan officers would rather loan them $300,000 for a home than they would for a $100,000 home. Why?
The loan people made more money, more of a percentage!
President Bush and even John McCain tried twice to get congress to make new laws to tighten up the loans. Chairman of the Fed, Greenspan, had told Bush, McCain, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and others what was going on in the Democratic controlled House of Representatives and Senate!
He plainly told them there was a housing bubble just as there had been a ".com" bubble which broke leaving a mess, but the Democratically controlled house and Senate kept on buying votes using government back loans. They wanted a home for every black!
Both houses would never consider the pleas of Bush, McCain and other Republicans! Barney Frank and Chris Dodd stopped any new laws from ever leaving committee! therefore the very laws that would have stopped the Democratic party give-aways, mostly to poor blacks, were never enacted! It was the way the Democratic party would insure their members would always be re-elected! They were buying votes!
Now with a Democratic President that will insure he will be a one-termer and with a House and Senate completely controlled by Democrats the United States is in a royal mess and will be irreparably harmed! Obama is like Jimmy Carter, but much worse!

Barney Frank ((in the house)) and Chris Dodd ((in the Senate)) prevented President Bush on at least 3 occasions from placing more oversight on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac!
Senator John McCain tried on two occasions to do the same, but those two Democrats controlled the financial committees and they prevented him from enacting new laws to make sure Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were making and guaranteeing loans to the poor that were based upon sound banking principals, not skin color and greed.
Of course these unsound banking practices placed hundreds of thousands of people into new homes they could not possibly pay for! They were mostly black, with a sprinkling of trailer trash, and the Democratic party was insuring their votes for more generations to come!
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac failed because tens of thousands of black families, used to being on the dole for generations, poor white trash and some good families from both groups could not make their payments! Even to now many blacks believe that a black Obama will save them "Because help is on the way"" ((money help, free money, state welfare))!
Suddenly the housing market is glutted with houses that these two institutions were trying to sell to get their money back. Thousands of home suddenly came on the market and new houses stopped being built!
The government had to bail out these two because the government had backed the loans thanks to Barney Frank, the sexual deviant, and Chris Dodd, both democrats!
The democrats controlling both houses could over-ride anything that George Bush wanted to accomplish! Barney Frank the democrat deviant kept the 5 attempts by Bush and McCain in the committee room.
