MANILA – President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Tuesday announced she was taking over direct command of the government’s campaign against the growing menace posed by of the illegal drugs trade, especially on the country’s youth. ((Now that she is the nation's "Drug Czar" she can make sure that all agencies under her will keep on allowing Mr. Wong to manufacture drugs for export and for sale to her own people without hindrance from the main drug agency - PDEA - that is to arrest these types!))
The President made the announcement during a Cabinet meeting in Malacanang where one of the main issues tackled was illegal drugs. Malacanang officials explained President Arroyo decided to take over as the country’s “czarina” against illegal drugs following a briefing conducted by former senator Vicente Sotto 3rd, the chairman of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB). Sotto stressed the urgent need for a more coordinated and aggressive government action against illegal drugs which have grown to alarming proportions and which have now posed a major threat to national security.

First the press secretary reported the earnings as a sale of a 3 hectare block in Bulacan at PHP 1400.00 per hectare, surely, he meant that to be per square meter (then it would almost add up to the increase of PHP 44 million). Of course having realized that they had not previously declared a property in Bulacan of that value on any SALN, the palace
quickly recanted and stated the increased income was from stock market trading.
No one will indict the presidential family for any wrong doing because of the stranglehold the family has over all the institutions and their officials.
The shamelessness will continue unabated with impunity.

GMA’s net worth has more than doubled to P177 million (not P120 as we earlier reported) since she became President as stated in her 2008 statement of assets and liabilities net worth (SALN). More incriminating is her increase of P44.9 million (($945, 263.15)) in 2008 over her 2007 net worth. The President receives a salary of P60,000 (($1,263.15)) a month.
Many believe her SALN is even understated as she has not fully declared all the valuable jewelry that she wears especially during her visits abroad and at state dinners. Malacañang explained that the big increase in her net worth is due to her making “good investments.” Having said that, she must now reveal the nature of her investments.
The necessary question arises: Did she make good investments due to special knowledge she acquired from information known only to the President? Is she guilty of insider trading?
Did she adopt policies or issue directives to make sure her investments become profitable?
Did the business she invested in get licenses or lucrative contracts from government? GMA must explain and give specifics!
Three easy examples: Did she, First Gentleman and her sons invest in PLDT before they were given 3G license by the National Telecommunications Commission?
Did she invest in Aboitiz Power or Aboitiz Equity Ventures who were buyers of government corporations? Did she buy Meralco shares before Winston Garcia, GSIS president bought it up from P40 to P90 per share? This is no different from the charge against Manny Villar for conflict of interest.
No less than Dato Arroyo has admitted the increase in net worth of the family came from stock market investments. They must now release the list of stocks held, their date and price of purchase.
In the United States, the President must divest himself of any stockholdings or investments in business corporations. Businessmen also say that she is a silent partner in big businesses. Frequently mentioned are Petron (Oil and gasoline company with gas stations everywhere), the Liberty/Qatar Telephone, Telco, Transco and Meralco, even San Miguel.
Equally unbelievable is the latest net worth of presidential sons Mikey whose SALN reported a P99.2 million net worth and younger brother Dato who reported a P89 million net worth. Both sons who have no known businesses, have recently built mansions at La Vista, QC estimated at P30 million each. Mikey is reported to have over a dozen luxury cars in his garage and is known as one the biggest racehorse owners in the country.
Both sons have been the beneficiaries of huge pork barrel and public works projects. During one visit to Dato Arroyo’s district in Camarines Sur, GMA released around P3 billion for various projects. If you go by current SOPs of 20 to 30 percent tongpats, that’s a potential P600 million to earn.
Once again, this is clear proof of the conclusion of many international agencies that the Philippines is the most corrupt country in Asia.
Also significant is the P140 million net worth of First Gentleman’s brother, Ignacio “Iggy” Arroyo of Negros Occidental, who Negros businessmen say could not even pay his rent before he became a congressman.
Among the richest congressmen are Cynthia Villar (Las Piñas) with P1 billion net worth, Martin Romualdez (Leyte), son of Kokoy, with P477 million, Jules Ledesma (Negros Occidental), husband of actress Asunta de Rossi, a sugar baron with P447 million, Arturo Robes of San Jose del Monte, a realtor with P441 million, Judy Syjuco, wife of Tesda Director General “Buboy” Syjuco, with P265 million, Nikki Prieto Teodoro (Tarlac), wife of DND Secretary Gibert Teodoro, with P232 million, Ferjenel Biron (Iloilo), a drug manufacture with P191 million, Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (Ilocos Norte) with P180 million, Egay San Luis (Laguna), a contractor with P165 million and Dong Gonzales (Pampanga) a contractor with P153 million.
Influential congressman get not only P70 million pork barrel a year, but like Martin Romualdez who reportedly got P1.7 billion and Dong Gonzales got additional releases from Dept. of Public Works and Highways, including the Road Board, Calamity fund, DoTC, Department of Education, DA and DILG. Easily, a favored congressman can get from P300 to 500 million releases in a three-year term. Even at the lower figure of P300 million, a 30 percent commission translates to a P90 million bonanza.
Will the Bureau of Internal Revenue ((P.I. IRS)) that just missed their April collection target now look into the income tax returns of these multi-millionaires? Of course not!
And how about billionaires Manny Pacquiao, Chavit Singson and Willie Revillame. Have they been audited? Manny Pacquiao has admitted that he won P13 million in a seven-cock derby in San Juan last week. Does he declare his cockfight and casino winnings in his income tax?
Another sea tragedy. Twelve passengers including a Japanese tourist died in another sea mishap in Puerto Galera, Mindoro. The M/V Commando 6 of Ilagan Shipping capsized when hit by a wave en route to Batangas City. Initial findings of Marina show the boat was overloaded as it was authorized to carry 42 passengers only but carried 60. So, again, survivors are asking: Where was the Coast Guard? They also charged that the boat’s crew did nothing to save the passengers. The boat’s captain escaped and is missing.
This is just the last incident in a long list of sea tragedies under GMA including the M/V Princess of the Stars where almost 1,000 died. Under GMA you travel at your own risk. When will she overhaul the Philippine Coast Guard, an agency under DoTC?

Lolit Solis, a close friend of Dr. Vicky Belo, and former manager of 23-year-old Dr. Hayden Kho revealed that Dr. Belo gives Dr. Kho an allowance of P300,000 a month, and a condo at the Fort, Global City. Sen. Bong Revilla and director Jose Javier Reyes can add gigolo to the titles they have given to Dr. Kho. 2 sons of GMA also richer

MANILA, Philippines - Two lawmaker sons of President Arroyo have also grown richer, although neither was in the list of the Top 10 richest congressmen.
Las Piñas Rep. Cynthia Villar can now qualify for Hall of Fame, having held the “richest” title for nine years. Based on the statement of assets and liabilities (SALN) provided by the House of Representatives, Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel Arroyo’s P96.7-million net worth in 2007 rose to P99.2 million ((divided by 47.5pesos per dollar = $2,088,421.05)), or P2.5 million more, in 2008.
Neophyte Rep. Diosdado Arroyo of Camarines Sur also saw his wealth increase, from P83.7 million in 2007 to P89 million in 2008, or P5.3 million more.
Only the net worth of Mrs. Arroyo’s brother-in-law, Negros Occidental Rep. Ignacio Arroyo, dropped, from P145.8 million in 2007 to P140.3 million in 2008, a decrease of P5.5 million.
A fourth Arroyo, Ma. Lourdes Arroyo, younger sister of First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo, is a representative of party-list Kasangga. She and 31 other new sectoral representatives have not filed their SALN yet since they came in only last April.
“I am shocked that the President of a poor country, where so many wallow in poverty, got richer by at least P44 million (($926,315.78)). How the hell can she and FG earn P44 million in the face of the global crisis?” asked Bayan Muna Rep. Teddy Casiño. Villar, wife of Sen. Manny Villar, remained the richest House member with P1 billion net worth. The couple holds the distinction of being the richest members of both houses of Congress, and with no liabilities.
Meantime, two neophyte lawmakers have made it to the Top 10 – Reps. Arturo Robes of the lone district of San Jose del Monte ranked fourth with P441.1 million as net worth, and Monica Prieto-Teodoro of Tarlac, ranked sixth, with P232.4 million. Teodoro took over the post vacated by her husband, now Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, who is among the presidential aspirants in May 2010. Robes – ranked fourth – is a 47-year-old businessman, and is relatively unknown.
The other top notchers are Reps. Martin Romualdez of Leyte (second, P477 million with no liabilities), Julio Ledesma of Negros Occidental (third, with P447 million), Judy Syjuco of Iloilo (fifth, P265.5 million), Ferjenel Biron of Iloilo (seventh, P191.3 million with no liabilities); Rep. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos II of Ilocos Norte (eighth, P179.9 million with no liabilities); Rep. Edgar San Luis of Laguna (ninth, P165 million with no liabilities), and Pampanga Rep. Aurelio Gonzales (tenth, with P153.4 million).

President Arroyo may be richer by P45 million on record, but from time to time, she still enjoys breakfast “with the masses” at the country’s fast food chains.
At around 6:30 a.m. yesterday, the President decided to start her day with a longganisa meal at the McDonald’s outlet at the Paseo Center on Paseo de Roxas in Makati City, an unscheduled and unannounced visit. The visit gave her a chance to talk to employees of one of the country’s fastest growing sectors, the business process outsourcing industry, more commonly known as call centers. Call center employees from the nearby Convergys, People Support, E-Telecare and DSM Manila were also having their breakfast at the fast food chain when the President joined them.
Accompanied by Commission on Information and Communications Technology chairman Ray Anthony Roxas Chua, the President sat down with call center agents and talked about their concerns. Mrs. Arroyo advised her fellow diners that their flexible schedules at work would allow them to pursue further studies and even have some fun.

MANILA, Philippines - Malacañang brushed aside Thursday questions surrounding a P44.9-million increase in President Arroyo's net worth in 2008, saying it was due to the sale of a lot in Bulacan.
Press Secretary Cerge Remonde said the President and First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo sold the lot in Bulacan for P40 million (($842,105.26)), but did not give further details.
"Ang explanation niyan, nakapagbenta ng lupain ang First Couple sa Bulacan na nagkahalaga ng P40 million last year. That's the reason bakit nagkaroon ng increase ang income ng ating Pangulo," Remonde said in an interview on dzXL radio.
[The explanation is that the First Couple sold a lot in Bulacan worth P40 million last year. That's the reason for the increase in the President's income.]
In a separate interview on dzRH radio, Remonde said the land was sold at “P1,400 per hectare." He did not say if he meant P1,400 per square meter.
He also said the Statement of Assets and Liabilities (SALN) where Mrs. Arroyo was worth some P144 million was a “joint" SALN with the First Gentleman.
Even if Remonde did not give further details of the sale, he said he expects the political opposition to raise a howl.
“Linawin lang natin ito bago maging tsismis, maging issue na naman [Let’s clear this up before it becomes fodder for rumor]," he said on dzRH.
A report in the Philippine Star newspaper cited Mrs. Arroyo's latest sworn statement of assets and liabilities and net worth (SALN) filed with the Office of the Ombudsman on April 30 showed she was P44.9 million richer than in the previous year.
This meant Mrs. Arroyo more than doubled her wealth since she replaced deposed President Joseph Estrada in 2001.
For 2008, her total declared assets stood at P177.179 million but her liabilities in the form of net payables amounted to P33 million, leaving her with P144.539 million.
In 2007, her SALN showed her total assets at P99.616 million, or P11 million higher than in 2006.
When she assumed the presidency in 2001, her declared net worth was only P66.747 million. As president, her annual salary is P693,000.
Her shares of stocks, declared under the category of personal and other properties, stood at P110.437 million last year.
Mrs. Arroyo declared only six real properties in 2008 as against seven in 2007, including a house and lot in Baguio worth more than P67 million with cost of improvement at P645,287; a residential lot in Antipolo worth P1.7 million; a commercial lot in Tayabas, Quezon worth P2.4 million; an agricultural lot in Nasugbu, Batangas, P1.5 million; raw
land in Coron, Palawan which she bought in 2005 for more than P2 million; and a fish pond in Malolos, Bulacan purchased in 2007 for P507,800.
Her declared real properties last year amounted to more than P5 million as against the P6.8 million reported the previous year, during which she declared ownership of another agricultural land in San Rafael, Bulacan.

This Philippine massacre will upset many other diabolical plans and money making schemes as well as affect the incomes of the Philippine National Police Mafia.
The Governor, Andal Ampatuan Sr, and/or his son could go public, but this would not take the them off of the hook for the massacre at Maguindanao. The probable situation that will occur is that the governor himself will leak information about his pay-offs to the dwarf and murders he committed to her and herr political career, murdering and plundering is over. She may serve jail time for some of the murders she has ordered.
